Who we are

The Luminesce Chronicles is a children's book series published by The Curious Universe Company. Our website is luminescechronicles.com. We can be reached at hello@luminescechronicles.com.

What we collect

When you join our Founding Families waitlist, we collect:

• ✦Your first name (optional — used to personalise your welcome email)
• ✦Your email address (required — used to send you waitlist updates)
• ✦The page you signed up from (internal analytics only — never shared)
• ✦The date and time of your signup

We do not collect payment information, addresses, phone numbers, or any information about your children. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not use third-party advertising networks.

How we use your information

We use your name and email solely to:

• ✦Send you a welcome email when you join the waitlist
• ✦Notify you about the launch of The Luminesce Chronicles
• ✦Send the Founding Families Activity Pack when it is ready
• ✦Share occasional behind-the-scenes updates about the series

We will never use your email for unrelated marketing, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone outside of the services required to operate our waitlist (currently: Supabase for secure data storage, and Resend for email delivery).

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ✦Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email we send
• ✦Request that we delete your data by emailing us at hello@luminescechronicles.com
• ✦Request a copy of the data we hold about you

We will respond to all data requests within 30 days.

Data security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which encrypts data at rest and in transit. We use environment-variable-protected service keys and never expose credentials in our codebase. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access or disclosure.
